This wedding was more than two years in the making! Originally scheduled for May 2020, their original wedding date would have happened between when the bride graduated from medical school and when she started residency. But I think we all know how those mid-2020 weddings played out...
They rescheduled to December 2020, but with the pandemic still doing its thing, they made the hard choice to push back once again. October 2021 was their new date and the mother of the bride took on the planning with the bride now deep into residency working hours that would make most of us cry.
But enough about the pandemic and wedding reschedules... Kate and Jake finally got their perfect day and we are so excited to finally share it all!

Like I said, with the bride neck deep in the grueling hours upon hours that residency requires, her mom, also a physician stepped up to the plate in a major way. Mom handled scheduling and appointments, she made decisions about details and still kept Kate in the loop about what was going on without overloading her.
Every detail of this day and this event were beautiful individually. But when you take a step back and see the whole picture, it was a beautifully written love letter from a mother to her daughter.

The weather threatened rain just a little bit, but stayed away until their outdoor ceremony finished and formal photos were complete. Guests had made their way to the covered patios to enjoy cocktails including the bride's father's own homebrews.
As the photographer snapped her last photo of their champagne toast and got the couple inside, the sky opened up for about 20 minutes with a refreshing Fall rain.
The Chuck Taylors kicked things off at the reception and kept the dance floor packed all night. We always love the opportunity to work with them and they didn't disappoint!
We are so thankful to have had the opportunity to work with Kate and Jake, their families, and this amazing list of wedding professionals!
